Stars of the Show!
Alberta Theatre Projects relies on a number of volunteers to ensure your experience here is the best possible. It is our great pleasure to recognize the shining stars that have gone above and beyond during the Enbridge playRites Festival of New Canadian Plays and Mary's Wedding.
Scott Olynek - Star of the Show for the Enbridge playRites Festival of New Canadian Plays
Scott began volunteering at ATP to get into the theatre community and to see the productions more consistently. We're incredibly happy to have him whenever he isn't employed as an actor himself! He finds himself coming back time and again because of "the high quality of productions, as well as the variety!". For the 2012/13 season, although "all the shows sound pretty interesting to be honest", Scott is particularly looking forward to This Is What Happens Next, Petawawa and The Apology.
Deborah Sydorchuk - Star of the Show for Mary's Wedding
Deborah has been volunteering with us since 1991, and her love of the performing arts and ability to communicate with our patrons has made her an invaluable member of our team. As for the 2012/13 season, "the diversity of compelling/complex character stories than span a range of time and place is very appealing to me". Deborah is especially looking forward to Intimate Apparel, The Apology, Red and of course You're A Good Man, Charlie Brown.
Many thanks again to Scott and Deborah for their outstanding support of Alberta Theatre Projects.
We couldn't do it without you!
