A Message from Enbridge

At Enbridge we are enormously proud to support the 26th edition of the internationally celebrated Enbridge playRites Festival of New Canadian Plays. The festival has more than a quarter century of outstanding theatrical output upon which to build – more than 100 original Canadian plays in all, and Enbridge has been there as title sponsor for nine years.

The Enbridge playRites Festival of New Canadian Plays is an important cultural powerhouse for Calgary, for Alberta, for Canada and indeed the global theatre scene. It is an incubator for important new works and talented playwrights to develop their craft, expand their artistic vision and extend the impact and reach of Canadian Theatre.

Even 26 years on, the festival is one of the most exciting, relevant and culturally dynamic arts initiatives in Canada. It is a cultural springboard, a launch pad for Canada’s soaring arts scene, and a celebration of the talent, vision and humanity of our artistic community.

We can all be proud of the work Alberta Theatre Projects does to foster and promote the development of new Canadian plays by Canadian playwrights. Alberta Theatre Projects’ unwavering commitment to artistic excellence, exploration and innovation are the trademarks of the Enbridge playRites Festival.
